The Complete Guide to Taking a Hot Spring Bath
1. Take a shower before entering the pool to maintain the quality and hygiene of the hot spring. Towels and underwear should not be in the pool.

2. Enter and get out of the pool quietly so you don’t disturb other people in the pool. Don’t treat the hot spring pool as a public bath.

3. Hot spring baths are extremely therapeutic for women with menopause.

4. The best time to take a hot spring bath is one hour after meal. It’s not suitable do it on an empty stomach or with a hangover.

5. After intense exercise, it’s best to rest for at least 15 minutes before taking a hot spring bath.

6. If there’s a wound on the body, avoid getting it wet by the hot spring water.

7. Patients with cardiovascular diseases should consult with the doctor before taking a hot spring bath.

8. It’s recommended to take 6 rounds at most with each time of taking a hot spring bath to prevent excessive water loss in your body.

9. Drink water or mineral water regularly during the bath to promote metabolism for better therapeutic effects. It’s better to take more rounds than to take a long bath at one time. After taking the first round of bath, get out of the pool and rest until the body cools down. Afterwards, each round is about 3 minutes, up to 6 rounds. Don’t take a cold shower after the bath or the metabolism will be stopped.


Hot Spring Tips
Taking hot spring baths drains your energy and it’s better not to sweat too much. To complete an ideal course of bath, first enter the pool of water temperature around 37˚C. After the body is used to the warm water, switch to the pool of higher temperature around 40˚C. When you start to sweat, get out of the pool and cool the body off before enter the hot pool again. This time when you start to sweat, get into the cold pool and stay until your body starts to feel hot, then get out of the pool. Do some chest expansion exercise by the pool to cool off body temperature. Enter the hot pool again for about 5 minutes to complete the whole course. This bath course enhances metabolism and helps the body expel unwanted acid substance.
