●Hsiao Fang Pottery
Located on the foot of a hill in Xinbeitau, the kiln was set up by Hsiao-Fang Tsai(蔡曉芳) and his wife in 1975. Due to the adoration for the pottery and porcelain art, the couple has developed artistic skills to make a work with various distinguishing pottery and china features of different eras, such us the grain of blue and white porcelain during the Ming Dynasty, the gentle-colored porcelain of Ru-Kiln(汝窯) in the Sung Dynasty, and the bright red porcelain during the Manchu Dynasty.
The work of Kiln is the representation of beauty of Chinese China, and Tsai has been invited to take part in an international exhibition for many times. As well as his outstanding achievements, Tsai also contributes to popularize pottery art and hopefully may be able to better the quality of people’s life.
Hsiao Fang Pottery opens from Monday to Friday. Visitors need to make a reservation by fax. The phone number is 02-28921978.
